Estudios particulares: happen

Suceder, ocurrir, pasar o acontecer en español; happen en ingles.

Asi, tenemos:

What happens (juat japens) o what is happening (juat is japening): presente

What happened (juat japend): preterito

What will happen? (juat uil japn): futuro

Otra expresión que podemos conseguir con el impersonal  happen es da la casualidad de que… o resulta o sucede que….

Así, tenemos:

It (just) happens that i’m a vegetarian

Pero esta misma expresión podemos conseguirla usando happen de modo personal, una faceta no tan conocida de este verbo.

Asi, tenemos:

-I happen to be a vegetarian (it (just) happens that i’m a vegetarian)

-he happens to be the manager (it (just) happens that he is he manager)

-she happens to have the key (it (just) happens that she has the key)

Podemos usarlo también en modo interrogativo:

-Do you happen to have the key?

-Do you happen to be the manager?

Una forma alternativa es  …by any chance? (bai eni chans)

-Do you have the key by any chance?

-Are you the manager by any chance?
